The Morecambe Carnival is looking for sponsors to financially support this year’s event. But why? Good question.
The Morecambe Carnival is a community event, it has been brought back to life for the enjoyment of the Morecambe Community by people from that community. The aim of the carnival is not to make money – it’s about giving something back to Morecambe to help revitalise it. The volunteers have donated their time and effort and many have also donated the resources of their businesses to make it happen.
However there is only so much that volunteers can do without financial support – The carnival has received no funding from the local authorities (See our previous post about Morecambe Town Council). In holding an event like a carnival there are many unavoidable costs that need to be covered. This event is being paid for by generous donations from local businesses, groups and individuals because they believe that the carnival will be of great benefit the community.
Already supporting the Morecambe Carnival are:
- The Bay Radio
- English Lakes Hotels
- Aqua Engineering
- ICU Security
- Go Morecambe
- Lancaster Round Table
- Workshop Media
- Morecambe Press
- Lakeland Sign and Print
- Yesss Electrical (Morecambe Branch)
- Arndale Centre
- Bathtime (Bathroom suits and fittings)
- Warren Contracting (Plumbing & Heating Engineers)
The help and support received so far has been fantastic but we need more to put the finishing touches to what we all hope will be a landmark event for Morecambe.
So we’re asking for businesses, groups and individuals to get in touch and help make the carnival as big a success as we all want it to be. The organising committee has developed a range of sponsorship packages that will suit all budgets. From donating raffle prizes for the carnival day prize draw, to buying a spot in the souvenir programme or sponsoring a major trophy – there are lots of ways everyone can contribute.
This is a fantastic way to get broad public exposure for businesses, groups and clubs. Visit our Sponsorship Packages page for more information or feel free to Get in Touch and we’ll be happy to chat and answer any questions.
