The 2019 Morecambe Carnival Talent Trail came to a fantastic conclusion on Sunday 26th May at Popworld on Morecambe Promenade.
For each heat we invited performers of all ages and types to come and show us what they had to offer and compete for an amazing prize – a spot performing live on the MC19 Main Stage. This is the same stage that will host Toyah, The Christians, S-Club 3, The Hara and Morecambe’s own Ice factory this Morecambe Carnival Festival Weekend on 10th and 11th August.
Eight amazing performers from all over the Morecambe and Lancaster area gave truly fantastic performances including great renditions of classic songs, a joyous young Eric Morecambe impression as well as inspired original music and songs.
After deliberations the judging panel made up of Morecambe Carnival Committee and Volunteer Team members named Elena Reeve our MC19 Talent Trail Winner!
Elena will be performing live on the MC19 Main Stage on Morecambe Promenade on Sunday 11th Aug. A huge congratulations to all our grand finalists and thanks to all the competitors we met along the trail!
Host Trevor Cooke as well as the judges agreed that all the competitors embodied the future entertaining talent of the area and showed great courage entering the competition. Trevor will be back in action at MC19 with the EDF Family Stage entertaining the crowds with more local talent performing throughout the carnival weekend.
More local performers will be appearing on the Main Stage in 2019 than ever before including the amazing Amber Suns, Betamax, Stuart Michaels, Melanie Horabin, 3 and a Half Men, Dreamers and back for One Night Only – Ice Factory.
The Morecambe Carnival remains a free event. No tickets or passes just come along and enjoy the show – all weekend long.
